VB Gets 3-0 Win Over Schreiner

KERRVILLE, Texas - The Howard Payne volleyball posted their second consecutive 3-0 conference win Saturday on the road versus Schreiner University.

After easily taking the first set 25-14, the next two were much more of a battle. HPU would secure the next two sets 25-23 and 25-20 to claim their consecutive 3-0 conference win. The Lady Jackets defeated Sul Ross State in Alpine 3-0 the night before.

Sarah Bishop and Taylor Jordan had 11 and 10 kills respectively for Howard Payne. Jordan added 10 digs to her totals. Hannah Hicks also had a great game with seven kills and nine total blocks.

Allyson Reed had 13 assists and Shelby Bridges added 10 digs.

Howard Payne is now 6-6 overall and 2-2 in conference action. Schreiner falls to 4-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play. HPuUwill play next at home on September 18th versus Concordia University Texas at 7:00 pm in the Brownwood Coliseum.
