VB Drops Non-Conference Match To Schreiner

Box Score KERRVILLE, Texas - The Howard Payne Lady Jacket volleyball team fell 3-0 (22-25,18-25,19-25) to Schreiner University in non-conference action Tuesday evening.

Howard Payne would play Schreiner the closest in the first set falling 22-25. HPU dropped the next two sets 18-25 and 19-25. HPU did win the battle at the net with 7 total blocks compared to 3.5 for Schreiner.

Sarah Bishop led Howard Payne with 10 kills along with nine digs. Hannah Hicks and Taylor Jordan added six kills each. Allison Eaton led the Lady Jackets with 15 digs. 

Howard Payne now stands at 15-10 overall and Schreiner is 6-14 overall. The Lady Jackets will play this next weekend at the ASC pod tournament hosted by Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. HPU will take on Concordia Texas and Sul Ross State on Friday and Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday.
