Soccer Loses 4-0 To UT-Tyler

Box Score TYLER, Texas - After holding the University of Texas at Tyler scoreless in the first period, the Howard Payne men's soccer would go on to lose 4-0 Saturday evening in conference action.

The Howard Payne defense would hold the UT-Tyler offense in check the first half playing to a 0-0 halftime score. UT-Tyler had 13 first period shots compared to none for the Jackets.

The Jackets would get off three second half shots but the Patriots had 14 in the period. UT-Tyler scored goals in the 52nd, 57th, 79th and 86th minutes to secure their 4-0 win. 

Ryan Young played all 90 minutes in goal for the Jackets recording five saves and allowing the four goals. 

Howard Payne is now 1-14-0 overall and UT-Tyler stands at 5-2-4 on the year. The Jackets will play next on Thursday, October 24th at home versus East Texas Baptist University starting at 3:00 pm.
