Lady Jackets Finish Out Conference Play

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne volleyball team dropped matches to the University of Texas at Dallas 3-0 and Hardin-Simmons University 3-1 Saturday afternoon in the Brownwood Coliseum.

The Lady Jackets fell to UT-Dallas 3-0 (21-25,11-25,20-25) in their first match of the ASC pod. Sarah led Howard Payne with seven kills followed by Tolli Wylie with six kills and a .294 attack pct.

In Howard Payne's second match of the day, the Lady Jackets would take the first set from Hardin-Simmons 25-20. HPU would then drop the next three sets 21-25, 14-25 and 17-25. Bishop led the team with 14 kills. Hannah Hartshorn recorded five service aces for the Lady Jackets. Margje Damstra finished with six block assists.

Howard Payne now stands at 16-14 overall and 7-11 in conference. The Lady Jackets finish conference play tied for sixth in the ASC standings with Concordia University Texas. Howard Payne will play at home next on October 31st versus non-conference opponent University of Dallas at 7:30 pm. The Lady Jacket seniors will be recognized at the match.
