MSOC Falls To D-II McMurry

Box Score ABILENE, Texas - The Howard Payne men's soccer team fell to NCAA-II McMurry University 4-0 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

Howard Payne was outshot 15-7 overall and 10-5 in shots on goal. HPU's Shay Pate had two shots on goal with Alex Sanchez, Alexis Ibarra and Ben Chism adding one each.

Brice Gardner recorded the loss for HPU in goal playing all 90 minutes and gaining six saves.

The Jakcets are now 1-7 overall and McMurry stands at 1-3-1 overall. HPU will open conference play on September 26th in Richardson, Texas versus the University of Texas at Dallas starting at 7:00 pm.
