Jackets Fall To #13 UT-Dallas In Conference opener

Box Score RICHARDSON, Texas - The Howard Payne opened their 2013 American Southwest Conference campaign with a 10-0 road loss to the 13th ranked University of Texas at Dallas Comets Thursday evening.

UT-Dallas would only lead 1-0 at the half but would score nine in the second period on 24 shots. HPU goal keeper Ryam Young would record nine saves in 90 minutes of action. 

The HPU offense would struggle versus the UT-Dallas defense only getting three shots off, one on goal. 

Howard Payne stands at 1-8 overall and 0-1 in conference while UT-Dallas is 70-1 overall and 1-0 in ASC play. The Jackets will be in Clarksville, AR on Saturday to play the University of the Ozarks at 4:00 pm.
