BROWNWOOD, Texas - After playing to a 0-0 halftime score, the Howard Payne men's soccer team gave up three second half goals to fall 3-0 to the University of Texas Tyler Fridat afternoon in American Southwest Conference action.
Howard Payne and UT-Tyler went scoreless through the first 45 minutes, but UT-Tyler would have a three goal second period to take the match 3-0.
In the 58th minute, Brandon Severyn of UT-Tyler would beat HPU goalie
Brice Gardner, making the score 1-0 UT Tyler. Severyn would score again in the 67th minute, giving UT Tyler the 2-0 lead with just over 20 minutes to play in the match. Just one minute later, UT-Tyler would make the score 3-0.
The Yellow Jackets managed 15 totsl shots, six of which were on-goal. HPU goal keeper
Brice Gardner would record five saves and allow three goals in the loss playing 81 minutes.
Allan Chehadi would play the final nine minutes recording one save.

Howard Payne is now 1-8-1 overall and 0-3-1 in ASC action. UT-Tyler now stands at 6-2-4 overall and 2-2-2 in conference. The Yellow Jackets will play LeTourneau University at home on Saturday starting at 3:00 pm.
