Jackets With Conference Win Over Letu

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne men's soccer team got two goals from Jacob Moore to defeat LeTourneau University 2-1 in two overtimes Saturday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.

After both teams played a scoreless first half, Jacob Moore would net a Dominic Gillies assist from the top of the box in the 64th minute.,

LeTourneau's,Adam Schultz would score an unassisted goal in the 81st minute to tie the game at 1-1 and eventually force overtime.

Jacob Moore would score the game winner with just 53 seconds left in the second overtime. A Tracer Moore assist allowed Jacob Moore to score the winner from inside the box,

Brice Gardner got the win in goal recording 16 saves. The losing goal keeper,Miguel Cabrera of LeTourneau also had 16 saves.

Howard Payne is now 2-8-1 overall and 2-5-1 in conference. LeTourneau falls to,3-10-1 overall and 1-4-1 in ASC play. Howard Payne will play,next on October 23rd in Richardson, Texas versus the University of Texas at Dallas starting at 7:00 pm.
