BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's soccer team fell 3-0 to No. 21 ranked UT Tyler Friday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.

UT Tyler scored their first goal in the 15th minute from the far-left wing to make it 1-0. The score would remain 1-0 at the half, until UT-Tyler scored just :31 seconds into the second half to make it 2-0. The Patriots would then add their third goal in the 77th minute.

Priscilla Jamaica had three total shots for HPU, one on goal. Courtney Turner and Mi Kayla Wozniak would also record shots on goal for the Lady Jackets.

Kelsie Piland recorded just her second loss in goal for the Lady Jackets this season recording nine saves and allowing two goals in 72 minutes of action. Nicole Goodwin would play the remaining 18 minutes allowing one goal with two saves.

Howard Payne would only manage six total shots, three on goal, against the UT Tyler defense. UT-Tyler outshot HPU 27-6 overall and 18-3 in shots on goal.

Howard Payne is now 5-6-1 overall and 0-3-1 in conference. UT-Tyler stands at 9-1-1 overall and 5-0-1 in ASC play. The Lady Jackets will play LeTourneau University at home on Saturday starting at 1:00 pm.
