CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas - The Howard Payne women's soccer team posted a 3-2 conference victory over the University of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon.

Lynsie Anderson scored her first goal as a Lady Jacket in the 6th minute on great pass from
Marlene Gillespie and finish past the keeper.Â
Ozarks would answer in the 11th minute, but Howard Payne later responded with a goal in the 30th minute to hold a 2-1 halftime advantage. This score came on aÂ

Ozarks responded again pulling within 3-2 in the 82nd minute. But Ozarks was unable to net another goal in the final eight minutes and HPU held on for the 3-2 win.Â
Kelsie Piland improved to 7-5 on the year recording four saves in the victory. Marlene Gillespie and Courtney Turner each had two shots for the Lady Jackets.Â
Howard Payne improves to 7-7-1 overall and 2-4-1 ASC action. Ozarks falls to 3-14-1 overall and 0-7-0 in conference. The Lady Jackets will play next on Friday, Oct 31st at 1:00 pm versus East Texas Baptist at home.
