After a 2-1 halftime advantage for the Jackets, Jacob Moore would score a insurance goal in the 50th minute on a penalty kick.

Brice Gardner got the win in goal for Howard Payne recording five saves in 90 minutes of action., Shay Pate, Enosh Griffin and Kevin Ruiz each took five shots for HPU.,

Howard Payne finishes the regular season at 5-9-1 overall 4-6-1 in conference play. Louisiana college finished their 6-9-4 overall 1-5-3 in conference. HPU will play next week starting on Thursday in the American Southwest Conference tournament, It is just the third time the Jackets have appeared in the conference tournament, details will be released by the conference office Monday morning.,
