WBSK Falls To UT-Dallas

Box Score RICHARDSON, Texas - The Howard Payne women's basketball team was outrebounded 38-22 by the University of Texas at Dallas in a 74-68 conference loss Saturday afternoon at the UTD Activity Center.

The Lady Jackets would hold a 19-12 lead with 8:16 left in the first half on a jumper by Kalin Hanna. From that point, the Comets went on a 12-0 and would lead 30-23 at the break.

Howard Payne tied the game up at 48-48 on a jumper by Danyel Bradley with 8:27 remaining in the game. UT-Dallas then went on a run and built a nine point lead two minutes later.

UT-Dallas held the rebounding advantage 38-22 over HPU, 13-6 on the offensive glass. As a team, Howard Payne 14 of 16 from the line while UTD was 13 of 25.

Howard Payne was led Bradley with 23 points along with four assists. Britani Gattis followed with 22 points. Sarah Van Remmen added 10 points and seven rebounds.

UTD was led by Morgan Kilgore with 25 points and nine rebounds. Christina Brosnahan had 15 points and Madi Hess had 12. Amber Brown recorded six assists.

Howard Payne is now 12-7 overall and 11-5 in conference. UT-Dallas stands at 16-3 overall and 13-3 in ASC play. Howard Payne will play next February 6th at the Univeristy of Texas at Tyler.
