SB Wraps Up UT-Tyler Series

Box Score TYLER, Texas - The Howard Payne softball team finished their series with #9 University of Texas at Tyler with a 12-1 loss Saturday morning.

Howard Payne would score in their opening at bat when Shandi Winstead singled to center field to score Taylor Rushing. 

UT-Tyler scored three in the bottom of the first, five in the third and four in the fourth. 

Tayler Rushing got the loss throwing four innings for the Lady Jakcets. Rushing and Larisa Salazar each recorded hits for Howard Payne.

Howard Payne is now 2-14 overall and 1-11 in conference. #9 UT-Tyler is 14-1 overall and 11-1 in league play. The Lady Jackets play next at home on March 13th and 14th versus UT-Dallas at Lady Jacket Field.
