AUSTIN, Texas - The Howard Payne volleyball team dropped their third straight conference match Tuesday evening 3-1 (23-25,25-16,25-18,25-19) to Concordia University Texas.
Howard Payne started the match strong taking the first set 25-23. The Lady Jackets would then lose the next two sets 25-16 and 25-18. In the fourth, both teams were tied at 10-10 when CTX opened up a 21-12 lead that the Lady Jackets would not be able to recover from. A late rally by HPU came up short and the Lady Jackets dropped the set 25-19.
Micah Cisneroz led HPU with 10 kills and a .207 hitting pct. It was her third double digit kill performance of the season.
Briana Williams and
Taylor Reid each had eight kills and
Tolli Wylie added seven.
Shelby Bridges had 20 digs and
Allison Eaton had 26 assists.
Howard Payne is now 0-8 overall and 0-3 in conference. Concordia stands at 6-4 overall and 2-0 in ASC play. The Lady Jackets will play next on September 19th in Marshall, Texas versus East Texas Baptist at 6:00 pm.
