BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Howard Payne volleyball team lost in straight sets 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-21) to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Tuesday evening in conference play.
Howard Payne started the match slow dropping the first set 25-13. The Crusaders carried the momentum into the second set taking it 25-15. In the third, the Lady Jackets would show some aggressiveness taking a 9-7 lead but would eventually drop the set 25-21.
Micah Cisneroz led the Lady Jackets with 8 kills on 20 attempts.
Allison Eaton had 22 assists and
Shelby Bridges led the Howard Payne with 19 digs.
Mary Hardin-Baylor was led by Natasha Evans with 12 kills on 14 attempts. Shelby Prather and Kendra Feldmann would each finish with 11 assists.
Howard Payne is now 0-12 overall and 0-6 in conference. UMHB stands at 12-3 overall and 4-0 in ASC play. The Lady Jackets will play in Abilene, Texas on Saturday the 27th at 11am versus Hardin-Simmons University.
