ABILENE, Texas – The Howard Payne volleyball team dropped a double header this Saturday in Abilene, 3-1 to conference opponent Hardin-Simmons and 3-0 to McMurry later in the afternoon.
Finding themselves down 2-0 in their first match of the day against Hardin-Simmons, the Lady Jackets rallied in the third to take the set 25-23, HPU would fall in the fourth set 25-10 and in the match 3-1.
Tolli Wylie led with 10 kills and three service aces.
Taylor Reid followed with nine kills.
Allison Eaton finished with 27 assists.
In the Lady Jackets second match of the day, Howard Payne would again rally in the third set but this time they come up short falling 25-23 and 3-0 for the match.
Micah Cisneroz led Howard Payne with 10 kills and a .286 hitting pct.
Allison Eaton recorded 20 assists.
Howard Payne is now 0-14 on the year and 0-7 in conference play. The Lady Jackets will play next Saturday at home versus Sul Ross State at 11:00 am.
