BELTON, Texas – Howard Payne fell to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in three sets (12-25, 9-25, 17-25) on Saturday afternoon in their final conference game of the season.
UMHB was firing on all cylinders during the match picking up 40 kills and 56 digs to the Lady Jackets 19 kills and 39 digs.
Offensively, Howard Payne was led by
Micah Cisneroz,
Shelbie Harry and
Briana Williams who each had five kills apiece.
Cheyanne Lovelady led in assists with 13. Cisneroz and Williams both also led in digs with 7 each.
UMHB's Cheyenne Dowdey led with 13 kills. Abby Voskuil had 10. Voskuil also led in digs with 14. Shelby Prather had 26 assists on the match.
The match wraps up conference play for the Lady Jackets as they finish the 2015 season with a conference record of 1-11 and are 1-19 overall. UMHB sits at 10-2 in conference and holds an overall record of 16-8. Howard Payne will play again on Tuesday, October 27th, as they take on the University of Dallas in their final home game of the season at 7:00 p.m. The game will also be senior night as well as the "Pink Out Game," for the Lady Jackets.
