BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's tennis team fell 9-0 to conference opponent Hardin-Simmons University Wednesday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.Alex Marlin and Chesney Goza would take take their opponents to tie-break sets but both would still fall in the end in straight sets. The two players also paired in number one doubles action falling narrowly 8-5.
Howard Payne is now 3-12 overall and 1-3 in American Southwest Conference West Division play. Hardin-Simmons stands at 8-7 overall and 3-0 ASC action. Howard Payne will have its final match of the season this Friday at home versus McMurry University starting at 1:00 pm.Singles competition
