BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne women's tennis team fell 8-1 to McMurry University Friday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

Alex Marlin and Chesney Goza took the number one double match in dramatic fashion defeating,Dana LeMieux and Jessica Bentley of McMurry 9-8 (16-14).

Marlin would also narrowly loss in number one single action,6-7 (5-7), 6-1, 10-3 to McMurry's Chloe Patterson.

Howard Payne finishes the season at 3-13 overall and 1-4 in American Southwest Conference action. McMurry University stands at 14-3 overall and 4-0 ASC play.
