LONGVIEW, Texas - Howard Payne's Dylan Person scored the golden goal in the 109th minute to give the Yellow Jackets the 3-2 victory over LeTourneau University Friday evening.

HPU's Dylan Person scored his second goal of the day in the 109th minute of the match to give the Jackets the 3-2 win over LeTourneau in the second overtime.

Shay Pate recorded the first goal of the match in the 12th minute on a header to the lower 90, Daniel Torres with the assist. Dylan Person would then score his first goal of the match in the 28th minute on a shot from the left side, Tyrone Davis assist.

With Howard Payne leading 2-0 at the break, LeTourneau responded with goals in the 51st and 61st minutes to tie the game at 2-2.

Both teams would play 18 minutes of overtime play before Dylan Person beat the LeTourneau goal keeper for the game winning goal with 108:59 on the clock.

Allan Chehadi recorded the win in goal going the distance for Howard Payne. He allowed two goals, securing seven saves. Daniel Torres, Shay Pate and Dylan Person all had two shots on goal for HPU.

Howard Payne improves to 1-2-0 overall and LeTourneau stands 2-3-1 overall. The Jackets will travel to Marshall, Texas to take on East Texas Baptist on Saturday at 7:00 pm in a non-conference match.
