AUSTIN, Texas – The Howard Payne men's soccer team could not overcome a three goal deficit and fell 3-1 to conference opponent Concordia University Texas Friday evening.
The Yellow Jackets were outshot 22-9 overall in the game but only 10-8 in shots on goal.
With Concordia leading 3-0 on goals in the 21st, 49th and 61st minutes, Howard Payne would finally get on the board in the 88th with a goal from
Tracer Moore, a shot from 35 yards out. It was Moore's first goal of the season and second of his career.

Daniel Torres each had two shots on goal for Howard Payne.
Allan Chehadi got the loss in goal allowing three goals and recording seven saves.
Howard Payne is now 2-3-0 overall and 0-1 in conference play. Concordia stands at 7-0-0 overall and 2-0 in league action. The Jackets will play at Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
