BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's soccer team fell 3-0 to non-conference opponent University of Houston at Victoria Tuesday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.
Howard Payne was outshot 19-4 in the match, 11-3 in shots on goal. Despite the number of shots coming her way, HPU goal keeper
Nicole Goodwin played solid allowing three goals and recording eight saves in 90 minutes of action.
Kaitlyn Harrison finished with two shots on goal and
Rachel Crane and
Breon Shelly each had a shot each.
UH-Victoria would score goals in the 27th, 60th and 64th minutes of the match. UHV lead in corner kicks 7-4.
Howard Payne is now 2-3 overall and UH-Victoria stands at 3-0 overall. The Lady Jackets will play next on Saturday, September 17th at the University of Texas at Dallas starting at 6:00 pm.
