BELTON, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's soccer team lost 5-0 to Pacific University Thursday evening in a neutral site match hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor.
The Lady Jackets were outshot 19-4 overall in the match, 13-1 in shots on goal. Pacific also had five corner kicks to HPU's zero.
Taylor Bicknell,
Rachel Crane and
Lynsie Anderson each had shots for the Lady Jackets.
Shelby Spaulding took the loss in the start at goal keeper for HPU allowing three goals and recording five saves in the first period.
Nicole Goodwin played the second period allowing two goals with three saves.
Howard Payne is now 2-1 overall and Pacific stands at 2-1 overall. The Lady Jackets will travel to Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas on Sunday for a 2:00 pm non-conference match.
