BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University volleyball team fell in five sets 3-2 (25-19,25-21,12-25,23-25,8-15) to McMurry University Tuesday evening in conference action.

Jordan Livingston recorded 37 digs in the match and broke the Howard Payne record for digs in a season. Livingston now stands at 550 digs this season passing the previous record of 540 held by Melissa Dennis in 2007.
The Lady Jackets started the match strong taking the first sets 25-19Â and 25-21. HPU struggled in the third falling 25-12 and nearly ended the match in the fourth losing 25-23.Â
The Lady Jackets offense could not get started again and HPU fell 15-8 in the fifth and dropped the match 3-2.
Zhartezia Bradley recorded a match and season high 24 kills along with six blocks.
Cheyanne Lovelady had a match high 44 assists.
Howard Payne is now 8-16 overall and 6-9 in American Southwest Conference play. McMurry stands at 16-7 overall and 8-5 in conference action. The Lady Jackets will have their final home match on Saturday at 2:00 pm versus Hardin-Simmons University. It will be senior day.
