BEAUMONT, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's basketball team fell 112-56 in an exhibition game at NCAA D-I Lamar University Saturday evening on the road.
Howard Payne's 38% shooting from the floor, 54% shooting at the free-throw line and 34 turnovers proved to be major factors in the Yellow Jackets 112-56 exhibition loss to the Cardinals Saturday.
Khyce Randall led Howard Payne with 14 points along with four rebounds and two assists. Drake Cooper followed 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting from the field.
Thomas Bingham added seven points and seven rebounds.
Lamar was led by Josh Nzeakor with 18 points followed by Colton Weisbrod with 17 points.
Howard Payne will play next at home on Monday versus conference opponent LeTourneau University at 7:30 pm.
