TYLER, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's soccer team fell 4-0 to conference opponent University of Texas at Tyler Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Jackets were outshot 36-2 overall and 16-0 in shots on goal in the match. UT Tyler also had nine corner kicks to HPU's zero.
Kacie Masters and
Jada Austin recorded the two shots for Howard Payne.
Alexandra Thompson recorded the loss in the start in goal for HPU with seven saves allowing two goals in the first 45:00 minutes.
Nicole Goodwin played the second 45:00 allowing two goals with five saves.
Howard Payne is now 2-2-1 overall and 1-1-0 in American Southwest Conference action. UT Tyler is now 4-1-0 overall and 1-1-0 in league play. The Lady Jackets will play next on Thursday, Sept. 21st versus Louisiana College at home starting at 2:00 pm.
