SEGUIN, Texas - The Howard Payne University volleyball team dropped a non-conference match 3-0 to Texas Lutheran University Tuesday evening.
Despite posting a .255 attack pct in the first set, the Lady Jackets would still drop the first set 25-23 to Texas Lutheran.Â
With HPU leading 18-17 in the second set, TLU would score eight unanswered points to close out the set 25-18. The Lady Jackets dropped the third set 25-14 in end the match 3-0 TLU.
Macy Maniscalo led Howard Payne with seven kills followed byÂ
Kailey Doering with six and Zhartezia Bradley with five.Â
Jordan Rogers and Zhartezia Bradley each finished with three blocks.
Cheyanne Lovelady had 22 assists andÂ
Jordan Livingston had a team high 12 digs.
Howard Payne is now 3-9 overall and Texas Lutheran stands at 6-5 on the year. The Lady Jackets will play next on Sept. 22-23 at the ASC Crossover hosted by LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.
