MARYVILLE, TN - The Howard Payne University women's soccer team finished up its road trip with a 1-0 loss to Piedmont College Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Jackets were outshot 15-2 overall and 6-1 in shots on goal but played solid defensively in the 1-0 loss.Â
Kacie Masters and
Miranda Rice recorded the two shots for the Lady Jackets.
Nicole Goodwin played all 90 minutes in goal for HPU recording 5 saves and allowing just the one goal.
Goodwin's play in goal was key to keeping HPU in the match as Piedmont recorded 12 corner kicks to HPU's two in the match. Piedmont's only goal came in the 29th minute by Cassidy Reich.Â
