BROWNWOOD, Texas- Howard Payne University woman's soccer team lost a suspenseful game against McMurry University 1-2 in double overtime Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Lady Jacket, Kelsey Bunch scored her first college goal in the 8th minute of the match, in a one on one with the goal keeper.

The War Hawks were able to tie up the game in the 32nd minute with a header off of a corner kick. The half ending 1-1. 

With neither team able to score in the second period, In the first overtime both teams recorded just one shot at the goal, coming up empty, ending the first overtime 1-1. 

The War Hawks were able to score the game winning goal, off of a center pass in the 108th minute in double OT, winning the game 1-2. 

Howard Payne was out shot in the game 8-19 in total shots and 4-12 shots on goal. 

Howard Payne is now 2-9-1 overall and 2-5-1 in American Southwest Conference play, while McMurry is 5-8-1 overall. The Lady Jackets will play at home next Saturday at 1:00 P.M. against Sul Ross State University at Citizen National Bank Field. It was will be HPU's senior day.
