LONGVIEW, Texas- Howard Payne University woman's soccer team took a 1-3 lost on the road to LeTourneau University this evening in conference action

LeTourneau came into the game shooting five shots in the first 10 minutes of the net. The Lady Jackets were able to hold off LETU until the 31-minute mark of the half, with LETU scoring off a cross in front of the goal. Ending the first half 0-1.

LETU was able to score two more goals in the second half, one off a corner kick and the other off a deflect off the post.

Yellow Jacket, Brook Gibbs was able to score her first season goal off a penalty kick in the last minute of the game. Ending with a loss of 1-3.

The Lady Jackets trailed statistically in the match with LETU leading 25-13 in total shots (17-8 in shots on goal) and 11-8 in corner kicks.

Howard Payne is now 2-11-1 overall and 2-7-1 in American Southwest Conference play, while LETU is now 11-4-1 overall. The Lady Jackets will travel to Marshal this Saturday, October 27th to take on East Texas Baptist University at 5:00 P.M.
