BROWNWOOD, Texas- Howard Payne's woman's soccer team suffered a 2-0 conference loss to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor at Citizens National Bank this Saturday afternoon. 

The Lady Jackets played a tight defense through the first half of the game, leaving the score 0-0 at the break. 

UMHB came into the second half fired up shooting seven shots in the first 10 minutes of the half, eventually scoring their first goal in the 63rd minute of the game. The Cru was able to score their second goal of the half in the next two minutes of the game, locking in the win at 2-0. 

The Lady Jackets came up short to the Cru in shots total 4-25 (1-15 shots on goal) and 0-8 in corner kicks. 

HPU goalkeeper, Delaney Castor recorded 13 saves throughout the game with six saves in the first half and seven in the second. 

Howard Payne is now 2-7-1 overall and 2-3-1 in conference play, while UMHB is 7-3-1 overall. The Lady Jackets hit the road next Thursday, October 11th for a 5:00 pm game against Hardin-Simmons University at Cozzens Field in Abilene.
