BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's basketball team shot just 27.3% from the field in a 84-47 conference loss to Louisiana College Thursday night at the Brownwood Coliseum.

Louisiana College connected on 50% of its shots from the field in the game while to lead 39-24 at the halftime and would extend its lead through out the second half.

Howard Payne was led by Shadd Cole with nine points. Timothy Aguero and Javaris Jones followed with 8 points each. Thomas Binham added a game high nine rebounds.

LC was led by Devon Washington with 13 points followed by Kenderius Wallace with 11 points.

Howard Payne is now 2-9 overall and 1-3 in American Southwest Conference play. LC moves to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in conference. The Jackets will be back at home on Saturday as they take on Belhaven University at 3:00 pm.
