LONGVIEW, Texas - Shooting troubles for Howard Payne University leads to a 99-60 loss for the Yellow Jackets to LeTourneau University Thursday evening in conference action.

Howard Payne would shoot just 33.3% from the field and finish 2 of 11 from the three-point line in the game. LeTourneau shot 50.6% from the field and out rebounded Howard Payne 55-40 in the game.

LeTourneau finished a 17-0 run midway through the first half and went on to hold a 55-23 halftime lead. 

Howard Payne was led by Shadd Cole with 18 points followed by Talen Davis with 13 points. Thomas Bingham led HPU with seven rebounds.

Nate West led Letu with 18 points and 9 assists. Christian Seidl added 16 points.

Howard Payne is now 2-7 overall and 1-1 in American Southwest Conference play. LeTourneau stands at 6-4 overall and 3-1 in conference action. The Jackets will play at East Texas Baptist on Monday at 7:30 pm.
