AUSTIN, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team picked up its second win of the season in a 9-0 victory over the University of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon at the Whitaker Tennis Center.

In a match delayed by weather, the Lady Jackets started strong by picking up all three doubles points 8-0, 8-5 and 8-1.

The Lady Jackets would also win all the singles points in straight sets. HPU tennis newcomer Cheyanne Lovelady wins her second straight number six singles match 6-1, 6-1. Lovelady is now 2-2 overall in singles play on the year.

Howard Payne is now 2-5 to start the season and Ozarks now stands at 0-2 on the year. The Lady Jackets will play next on Thurs. Feb 15th at San Angelo State at 2:00 pm.
