BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match 9-0 to Southwestern University Thursday at the Nabers Tennis Center.
Despite dropping all three doubles points, the Howard Payne number two doubles team of
Breanna Hunt and
Erin McCleer played solid falling in the end 8-3.
Rosie Cadena competed the best for the Lady Jackets in singles action. Cadena fell 6-2, 6-4 in number five singles play.
The Lady Jackets would drop all singles points in straight sets.
Howard Payne is now 3-8 overall and Southwestern stands at 5-1 on the year. The Lady Jackets will play next Saturday at home versus Texas Lutheran at 8:00 am and Colorado Christian at 1:00 pm. Both matches will be held at HPU's Nabers Tennis Center.
