BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team fell to Texas Lutheran 8-1 and Colorado Christian 8-1 Saturday at the Nabers Tennis Center.

TLU Match
Gabe Benitez was very competitive in number one singles falling 7-5, 6-3. Benjamin Blanchard picked up a number two singles victory 5-7, 6-4, 10-8 over Nick Roccaforte (Texas Lutheran). 

Benitez and Blanchard also partnered up in number one doubles losing 8-5 in the Jackets' strongest doubles showing.

CCU Match
Benitez and Blanchard fell 8-2 in number one doubles, Andrew Stevenson and Brandon McGibeny lost 8-1 in number two doubles, and Abe Cooper and David Dingle lost 8-2 in number two doubles.

All the Yellow Jacket singles matches would end in straight set loses except for Andrew Stevenson in the number four spot winning by default.

Howard Payne is now 1-13 overall and will play next on April 6th at home versus McMurry University at 1:00 pm.
