BELTON, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team picked up its first conference victory in a 7-2 victory over the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Thursday afternoon.\

Howard Payne is now 4-13 overall and 1-3 in American Southwest Conference action. Mary Hardin-Baylor stands at 0-7 overall and 0-2 in league play. The Lady Jackets will play next on Saturday at Concordia in Austin, Texas.
