Delaney Castor records a career high of 15 saves for the Lady Jackets in a 0-0 double overtime tie in their conference opener against the University of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon.
Playing all 110 minutes in goal for Howard Payne, Castor faced 26 shots, saving 15 to give the Lady Jackets their first tie of the season.
Kaitlyn Harrison led the Lady Jackets with four shots with three shots on goal. While more than half of the 18,Lady Jackets that entered the match recorded at least one shot, with seven recording a shot on goal. The Eagles kept the lead in total shots 26-20 and in corner kicks 7-6.
Howard Payne is now 0-4-1 overall and 0-0-1 in American Southwest Conference action while the University of the Ozarks are now 2-2-2- overall and 0-1-1 in the ASC play. The Lady Jackets will travel on Thursday September 20th to Jackson, Mississippi to play Belhaven University at 5:00 PM.
