San Antonio, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team spent the weekend competing in the 2018 Southwest ITA Small College Regional Championships, hosted by Trinity University.

On the singles side, Erin McCleer competed in the "A" flight, Erin Blanchard in the "B" flight, Kendra Renfroe "C" flight, Brynna Taylor "C" flight, and Rosie Cadena "C" flight.
Brynna Taylor and Rosie Cadena were both able to pick up wins in the "C" flight. Cadena was able to win (6-2, 6-2) over Lauren Rockwell, from LeTourneau University. Taylor picked up a win over Kate Duke, from McMurry University with a score of (4-6, 6-2, 1-0(8))

Erin Blanchard was able to win in the "B" flight consolation bracket over Abigail Kendall of Hardin-Simmons with a score of (6-4, 6-1). Kendra Renfroe won in the "C" flight consolation bracket over Kaitlyn Enloe of Texas Lutheran University.

On the doubles side, Blanchard and McCleer competed in the "A" flight, and Cadena and Taylor competed in the "C" flight.

Cadena and Taylor had a bye in the first round of the doubles "C" flight which moved them into the quarter finals of the flight. They were able to notch a win over Genna Ellinwood / Camille Kempf of Concordia University, by a score of (8-3).
