BROWNWOOD, Texas- Howard Payne falls in a heart wrenching match to the University of Texas at Dallas, 0-1 in double overtime late this afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field.

Freshman Yellow Jacket, Spencer Lyon was able to shoot three shots throughout the game, making this his fourth game recording three shots for a total of 14 shots already this season.

HPU was able to hold off UT Dallas in a contact ridged game with 6-11 fouls throughout regulation, and 1-1 in double OT.

The first two halves of the match ended 0-0 sending the match in to OT. Yellow Jackets Michael Westerman and Zachary Moreno were able to attack the goal, though coming up short both times ending the first OT 0-0.

Reid Longabaugh was able to get a shot in during the second overtime, but came up empty. UT Dallas soon scored the game winning goal in the third minute of the second OT.

Yellow Jackets fell short in shots 8-24 and corner kicks 0-6 in regulation, while 3-4 in shots and 0-2 in corner kicks in both OTs.

Howard Payne is now 3-4-0 over all and 2-2 in conference play, while UT Dallas is 6-1-1 overall. The Yellow Jackets will play at home next Thursday at 3:30 P.M. against Concordia University at Citizens National Bank Field.
