DALLAS, Texas - Howard Payne University's Lily Janek led the Lady Jackets with a game high 17 points in an 80-63 non-conference victory over the Dallas Christian College Crusaders Friday evening. HPU's Salina Ali with a career high 10 assists.

Howard Payne jumped out to an early lead and never looked back shooting 52.6% from the field while holding Dallas Christian to just 37.5% shooting in the game.

The Lady Jackets also dominated the boards out rebounding the Crusaders 42-22.

Howard Payne's largest lead came in the third quarter when a Lily Janek three-pointer with 8:41 on the clock put the Lady Jackets up 25, 52-27.

Lilly Janek, in her game high 17 points, was 6 of 9 from the field, 5 of 7 from behind the arc. She also grabbed five rebounds. Bria Neal followed with 11 points and seven rebounds. Salina Ali, Chelsey Harris and Caitlyn Ward all finished with nine points. Ali dished out a career high 10 assists.Anastasia Willis added eight points and a game high nine rebounds.

Dallas Christian was led by Areil Leal with 16 points followed by Patrickia Daily with 11 points.

Howard Payne is now 4-5 overall and Dallas Christian stands at 1-10 on the year. The Lady Jackets will play next on Sat., Dec 21st at home versus Sul Ross State University. It is the conference opener for HPU and will be a 1:00 pm start time.
