2022-23: Appearing in all 24 games for the Lady Jackets, Ward finished third on the team in points scored (193) and led the team in steals (33). She scored a season high 15 points versus Trinity. Ward also received Academic All-Conference.

2021-22: Playing in 22 games and starting in 15 of them, Ward had 151 points, 32 rebounds, 31 assists, 21 steals, and five blocks on the season. She had a season high of 16 points and four rebounds against University of the Ozarks. Ward also received Academic All-Conference.

2020-21: Appearing in 14 games for the Lady Jackets, Catlyn scored 31 points in 136 minutes for the year. She shot 75% from the free-throw line. She had a season-high seven points versus Dallas Christian.

2019-20: Appearing in all 26 games for the Yellow Jackets, Catlyn scored 102 points in 308 minutes for the year.  She shot 74% from the free-throw line, dished out 20 assists and gathered 49 caroms.  She registered a career-high 10 points at Sul Ross St.

HS: Leading her team to its first regional tournament appearance at Veribest High School in Veribest, Texas, Catlyn was the District 11-1A MVP and a First Team All-State selection.  Over her four seasons as a varsity player, she also received First Team All-District, All-Region and District Newcomer of the Year honors, as well as being named to the West Texas All-Decade Girls Basketball Team.  She also participated in track and field, cross country, and rodeo in high school.

Personal: Catlyn is the daughter of Brant and Renee Ward and has one sibling.  She is majoring in Business Management.
