BROWNWOOD- The Howard Payne University softball team ended the day with 0-4 and 1-3 losses at home against McPherson College in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Jackets committed five errors in the double header, one in game one and four in game two, falling behind in hits 4-8 in game one and 4-6 in game two.
Despite recording four hits in game one, the Lady Jackets were not able to bring a run home.

Kayla Hill,
Emily Martinez and
Kayla Anderson each recorded a hit for the Lady Jackets.
Tia Campos record the loss for HPU, earning three strikes out.
In game two, the Lady Jackets scored their only run of the day on a home run bomb by
Kayla Hill in the bottom of the second.
Hannah Stuart record the loss for HPU recording two strikeouts, making her 0-1 in the season.
Howard Payne is now 2-2 overall in the season, while McPherson is 2-3 overall. The Lady Jackets will play a double header on Friday, February 15th against Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi at 1:00 and 3:00 pm.
