GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team fell 9-0 at Southwestern University Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

The Jackets started the match dropping all three doubles points but were competitive in the number two spot. HPU's Albert Hernandez and Tevin Stevens fell 8-2 in number two doubles action.

HPU also dropped all the singles points with Rodolfo Perez losing 6-1, 6-2 in number three singles. Tyler Dingle would have to retire due to injury in number five singles and the Jackets played down a player and lost the number three doubles and number six singles by forfeit.

The Yellow Jackets will play at home next on March 9th versus Southwestern Christian University at 10:00 am and the University of the Southwest at 3:00 pm.
