GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match at Southwestern University 9-0 Saturday afternoon.

HPU's Erin McCleer and Erin Blanchard played the toughest for the Lady Jackets in double play falling 8-2. HPU lost 8-0 in the other two doubles matches.

Rosie Cadena was the standout for the Lady Jackets in singles play falling 6-1, 6-2 in number two singles. HPU would also drop the remaining singles matches in straight sets.

The Lady Jackets will play at home next on March 9th versus Southwestern Christian University at 10:00 am and the University of the Southwest at 3:00 pm.
