BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team lost to Concordia University Texas 8-1 Saturday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis center.

Erin Blanchard and Erin McCleer improved to 7-4 on the year with another win in number one doubles play. This time they defeated CTX's number one doubles 8-6 to give HPU its only point of the match.

Blanchard and McCleer were also very competitive in singles play with McCleer losing 6-2, 7-5 in number one play and Blanchard losing 6-2, 7-6 in number two singles action.

The HPU women will play next on April 5th in Abilene, Texas versus McMurry University at 2:00 pm.
