ABILENE, Texas - The Howard Payne University women's tennis team fell 9-0 to conference opponent McMurry University Friday afternoon on the road.

The closest match of the day was the number one doubles with HPU's Erin Blanchard and Erin McCleer falling 8-3. HPU dropped the number two doubles point 8-1 and the number three point 8-0.

Erin McCleer fell in number one singles action 6-2, 6-1 and the Lady Jackets would fall in all the other singles matches in straight sets.

Howard Payne will play on Saturday at Hardin-Simmons in Abilene, Texas at 10:00 am.
