BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team fell 8-1 in its home finale to Sul Ross State University Sunday afternoon at the Nabers Tennis Center.

The Yellow Jackets started the match by dropping all three doubles points 8-3, 8-2 and 8-1.

Tyler Dingle played solid in number five singles play winning 6-3, 6-3 to pick up the only point for HPU on the day.

Albert Hernandez and Rodolfo Perez also played tough but both fell in number two and three singles respectively.

The Jackets will finish out their season on Thursday at the University of Texas at Dallas at 3:00 pm.
