ABILENE, Texas - The Howard Payne University men's tennis team finished its road trip to Abilene with a 9-0 loss to Hardin-Simmons University Saturday afternoon.
Howard Payne started the match falling in number one doubles 8-1 and number two doubles 8-0. Howard Payne would drop the number three doubles and the number six singles points by forfeit to start the day due to being down one player.
With all the singles points going in straight sets for McMUrry, HPU's
Albert Hernandez's was most competitive for the Yellow Jackets falling 6-1, 6-1 in number two singles play.
Howard Payne will play next on Saturday, April 13th at home versus Sul Ross State at 10:00 am.
