Conway, Arkansas – The Lady Jackets took the long route to a win against Louisiana College taking the Wildcats down in 5 sets in their final match in Conway, AR.

HPU took on American Southwest Conference opponent Louisiana College in a match that turned into a hard fought cat fight. The two foes traded punches back and forth with the Lady Jackets taking the first set 25-23. The Wildcats took the next two 25-17 and 25-16. Then HPU hit hard with a 25-17 win that forced a deciding 5^th set which HPU squeaked by with a 15-13 set victory and a match win.

Mya Ross led the match with 17 total kills, Ciara Chappell added 7 blocks along with Amaya Marshall's 5. Kaitlyn Elsten tallied up 22 assists in front of Logan Boyd's 19 and Kylee Shirley added 27 digs of her own.

The Lady Jackets improve to 2-8 on the season and will look to build on their win total as they head to Austin for an ASC Conference match against Concordia University on Tuesday. The first serve will be at 6:00 pm.
